Afternoon all,
As part of my mission to get our new (to us) California Ocean back factory condition (or as close as is possible), I've just had my wheels refurbished.
I've got 2 T6's, one is a California with some standard VW diamond cut 17" alloys, the other is a Gen Six with the funky 18" retro looking white wheels (Disc).
The 17's were in a bit of a poor state with plenty of surface corrosion (and the dreaded white worms); so I've had both sets fully refurbished and swapped over, the Cali is now wearing the 18" Disc wheels and those from the Cali are now on the Gen Six.
I had them done by a company called Rimtek and I have to say, they have done an amazing job, both sets of wheels look like they just came out of the factory.
The 17's that were previously diamond cut have been stripped, blasted, powder coated all in silver and lacquered.
The 18's have been been stripped, blasted, a bit of buckling fixed, all curb rash removed, repainted and lacquered; I've had new chrome hub caps added and new tyres all round.
So if you want your alloys restoring back to their former glory, I can highly recommend Rimtek.
