Barcelona

Hello,
We are heading down to Biarritz in August and would also like a couple of days in Barcelona. Can anyone offer some information around staying around the city. My preference is to stay outside and catch public transport into the city.

We would also like to stay in and around Northern Spain before heading into Barcelona. I am guessing that this would be in the mountains.

Any help greatly appreciated.

we stayed at a campsite near matora, outside centre. they operate a daily bus to the centre several times daily

Mataro at north is also not so far John And on the south side of Barcelona the Filipines, a natural resort where you can park in front of the beach. (Not to be confused with Barcelona, a village at the Philippines!).
