BBC 4 costs £54m out of total bbc budget of £4 Billion. Is that 1.3% or did I have too many zeros?

(figures vary depending on source, I'm just trying to get the scale)

Yet again the people paying the license fee are the ones ripped off. The license fee is so we have an impartial broadcaster subsidised to make quality minority progragrammes. Instead the minority programmes get axed so we can continue paying £20k per episode each to the two tired old has-beens on HIGNFY and continue producing awful crap like Eastenders.

I'd be okay with it becoming an online-only channel, which looks like it's one of the options being looked at. Although I'm unclear how that would save much money?
