Beach Camper building and hello

Good afternoon from my wife and I. After too many months of following threads, hopefully learning and now seriously planning our purchase, we have signed up to this highly informative club. Hopefully members can assist with several questions, apologies in advance if any of them are considered too simple to answer! There may be more pre pressing GO!
1. Has anyone used Motor Source Group to obtain a quote to end result?
2. Benefits of upgrading to £1416 navigation system 'Discover Media'?
3. When configurating, does one include items which one would hope to be 'gifted' as an incentive to purchase?
4. After 30/6/22 when the current offers end, anyone with insider knowledge or best guesstimate of what offers will follow?

it appears VW have not resolved many issues with the new platform. Interestingly I understand the “Pro” system suffers less of the general

4) VW usually replace offers when the existing one runs out, the best offers are usually Based around taking VW finance (which can be paid off immediatel, maintaining any benefit you achieved by taking out VW finance)

Number one extra = 5 years factory extended warranty (I.e. additional two years, make it a pre requisite part of any deal.

2. Yes, Discover Media Pro seems buggy as reported by many others, but this picky software tester has seen only one or two restarts. The user interface is not very nice but CarPlay allows me to listen to Radio Caroline and Radio 4 here in Switzerland.

Thanks for the reply, appreciated. For the cost against benefit, may well not upgrade to 'Media', VW finance a given as well as 5 year warranty.

We’ve had our first quote in for the configured Beach Camper. It knocks out at just less than 6% discount.
Is that the best that can be hoped for? Any recent % discount experiences? Thanks

I got around 9% discount in March.

Have you tried looking on Drive the deal / Autoebid?

As these websites were showing 9% discount then and I rang around some dealers until one matched it.

I will have to travel across the country to collect but worth it for the discount

Thanks, not much choice of dealerships in Northumberland and happy to travel. Drive the deal next on the list.

DTD 8.5% so if other requested quotes don’t pan out tomorrow, looking to go with them. It’s already been hinted that they will be the best.

Autoebid website currently 8.7%,

Autoebid, DTD, car Wow etc etc, no need to negotiate with a dealer, order fulfilled by VW main dealer same as if ordered direct !

Cut the Dealer Sales BS and go that route would be my advice

I genuinely forgot about Breeze,

it’s a Damn shame for customers, other dealers don’t match up to Breeze.

Even if you don’t live near Breeze, I would give Breeze first Crack of the whip.

Matched then bettered DTD, well happy. Sealing the deal today then having a game of patience. In the meantime, will continue to get insight from this forum and hopefully being able to contribute.
When the Beach arrives, we'll have a mini holiday collecting it and meandering back to Northumberland, no worries.

I placed my order end of April (this year) for a Beach. Two weeks later got told my build week had been set for the last week of June already.

So I’m hoping it will be here in the next few weeks!

That’s even faster than the old days pre-Covid!

If lead times are shrinking that may well have an effect on used prices… Thoughts?

Emma at Breeze has confirmed that on 29/6/22 the order was placed for the Fortana red with 13 options. A provisional build has been allocated week 46 (3rd week Nov ‘22)

A further update from Breeze today to inform us that our Beach build week has jumped to week 36 from 46.
Are others experiencing the same improvement in provisional lead times?
I hope so.

Sorry, only just noticed the reply. Originally we were told hopefully the 20th July to collect but that came around and the dealership were still trying to get hold of VW to find out where the van was with no luck.

Just got told this Friday though the van is at a German port waiting to be shipped over and hopefully within the next couple of weeks!

Considering I thought it was a 12 month wait time, the turn around time has been amazing

Apologies but got my maths wrong when informed of the latest news of build week 36. I calculated 12/9 but informed today by Jon at Breeze that our Beach went into production today 5/12 which is W36. A bonus and it would have been rude not to celebrate with alcohol. Cheers all.
