Who are people’s recommendations for a casual last minute weekend away site in the South East (or a little further afield)?
Love big touring trips but really looking to up my little black book of places that I can get to within an hour or so (before dark, anyway) after finishing work on a Friday, with enough to do on a Saturday & a manageable drive that gets me back home (SE London) by lunchtime on Sunday.
My current go to is either Normans Bay C&CC in Pevensey or Idle Hours in Crowborough (which is 100m from an *amazing* vineyard) but wondering what other forum members’ suggestions are?
