Re: Bike Porn " members rides "

The story behind the Inbred goes like this.

Birthday weekend. Lots of beer. Not much sleep.
Monday morning commute. Hungover and tired.
Jump.
Land in Watford General Hospital.
Forks knackered and being from that odd era around '96 maybe, had 1" steerer, so hard to replace.
Bought cheap frame and v-brake compatible forks.

RIP Orange P7. 1996-2010. Miss you!

Yes, a bike and ride :) I am most likely going MTB riding and sleeping in the California in Huskvarna on friday-sunday.

We just arrived in Norway for some skiing. Meeting up for biking once the weather is better sounds great!

Have just entered for the Battle on the Beach again.

Cracking event. Now I need to up the mileage / pain and drop the weight back down. Might have to re-join my old road cycling club.

I pulled this out the shed the other day. Hoping for some time to get out on it again.

Can't decide whether to upgrade or not, it was pretty good spec in its day.

Nice looking bike. Just got rid of my Giant Anthem on bay-e for too little money but I just wasn’t using it. Still got my Sonder Camino run-around and road/gravel GT Grade. Next one could well be an e-bike. My mates are mtb boys (younger than me) and swear by them.

My folding Brompton. It will never compete with a normal bike but it’s a good compromise for general pootling about on. Also stores under the rear shelf.

This has been my trusty road steed since 2013 but i think this'll be our last summer together before I upgrade.

2013 Trek Madone with 50mm Prime carbon rims

Same.

Thinking of upgrading my 2012 madone 5.9......but, not sure really why.

It still rides and works fine, but I find myself going back to the Trek website far too frequently....this could be expensive!!!

Have not got any photos of either bike, but feeling we have made a mistake. Never had super duper bikes, just went for comfort. We used to have ladies & gents “giant” bikes heavy frames but gave a really comfortable ride. Hubby decided being the wrong side of 60 (just) we needed a little help and to enable us to go further, so brought us each a Carrera electric. Been out on them twice now and are now having to search for some replacement bits n bobs to try and make these new ones as comfortable as the old ones. Hey ho you learn by your mistakes i suppose.
