Bike rack and rear spoiler nightmare

I want to know if anyone has modified there rear spoiler to suit the VW bike rack as I do not want any other bike rack and will be using the tow bar for storage box to be attached.

If not this could be a first as will take it to the local body shop for some ideas on how to keep the spoiler.

It is apparently possible if you make some cut outs in the spoiler, but most seem to recommend the tailbar rack if you have a spoiler. No experience here sorry.

Not having a bike rack or rear spoiler , but always understood and been told the two are not working both on the same Cali....
Just lose the spoiler , useles anyway.

Hmmm, but I a want both LOL!! Once the bike rack is on its staying on so I am sure I will be able to make it work with some cutting and sanding on the spoiler. Going to buy a bike rack and have it powder coated black, if anyone has one for sale drop me an email please.

It shows a van with barn doors and a Fiamma rack but the principles are the same.
