Brandrup T6 Ocean seat covers - water repellant?

I am looking at seat covers for my Cali Ocean (arrives in March) and wanted to know if the Brandrup second skins stop any water/liquid spills soaking through to the seats. I've read a few of the threads on these covers but can't see any comments about how well they repel water. I know you can get waterproof covers but i want to maintain the look of the interior if I can and Brandrup appear to do that really well?

They are exactly the same material as original, so not waterproof but quite thick and would probably take a biggish spill to soak through to the seat material.
