Bristol dealer recommendations

We had ours serviced at Heritage last Nov and its booked in again this Nov as we have service contract. To be honest they seem to be fine. Becky on the service desk is excellent.

We bought from heritage Bristol and the sales experience was great. I am not sure where to service because Heritage have quite a few bad reviews when it comes to servicing. I had some warranty work done with Breeze in Poole and was very happy. But it is a long way to travel from Somerset. Confused!

Well we had it serviced last week at Heritage and I have no complaints. I always have a wait appt so they have to get it done in the time slot, it took about 2 hours.
We will take out another contract with them I think.

I have used Bridgewater for diagnostics and why I needed an oil change 10 Months in. Wrong setting by Breeze apparently, should have set to long life.
Bridgewater sell Californias and vans, but cannot do warrantee as they are not trained on the California side.
Heritage did not call is back when we were looking to buy. Sales person was not that helpful so we went with Breeze. Breeze have done some warrantee work and I am booked in for January for diagnostics. Earliest I could get to get a loan vehicle.

I’ve just used Halfords Autocentre in Filton.

Wouldn’t have been my natural first choice, but I first used them for an emergency MOT just after we moved here 3 years ago, when VeeW Services cancelled on me last moment because of a Covid test’n’trace outbreak at the garage (granted, not their fault!). Have used Halfords Filton a few times since for odds and ends on both our cars (MOTs, tyre repairs and replacements etc) and always had excellent service.

Despite my previous posts (#7 & #11), I did go to VeeW Services for the last Cali major service based on recommendations from this forum and a work colleague, but was distinctly unimpressed. They failed to do everything I asked, and despite me passing some £2k of business their way (MOT, full service, cambelt/water pump and precautionary EGR cooler replacement - yes I have a 180!) they still fleeced me another £10 for a “blown number plate bulb” that I know damn well was working immediately before I drove it down there. Funny how number plate bulbs always seem to fail as you drive onto the MOT garage forecourt…

Given my Cali’s now 11 years old, the excellent service I’ve had over the last 3 years and the sheer convenience of being in walking distance, I decided to just take it to Halfords in Filton for the latest full service. Fast, efficient, fairly-priced and even sorted a couple of extra niggles that I asked them to look at with no extra charge. And no failures on the MOT, which is always a bonus!

Just saw this thread so thought I’d comment. We have a 2011 Cali, only bought it last year and needed service and can belt change. Went with Luckwell Garage Bs3 (which happens to be very local), went there on account of the fact they are t4/t5 specialists and get good reviews

If anyone on the other hand knows of a place Bristol/SW to go for non engine issues, bodywork, internal stuff/ pop top issues, things like that, apart from expensive main dealers I’d love to know about them!
