We were told about this site by some friends who own a Bongo!!

What a great place to stay.... There are no electric hookups but there are two amazing pubs (both allow dogs!) and the walks are great. We went to the beach, on foot and our dog Toby loved every second of his 7/8 mile walk, including stopovers at the pubs.

Facilities are modest but very clean and staff are very friendly. £4.50 per person per night.

It's site mainly for campervans and tents.

We also regularly stay at Burnham Deepdale. We've been going for a few years, well before we got our Cali. We even stayed in one of the tipi's over New Year and yes it was chilly but it was great fun.

We're fans of The White Horse just up the road. Their food is just amazing and the view from the restaurant across the salt marched can't be beaten. Their bar food is also superb. We had such awful food at the Jolly Sailors we've never been back. There is a stunning fish shop/shack between the two pubs.

On a Thursday even a fish and chip van visits the lay-by opposite the camp site. They're very good. There is also a cafe by the entrance to the site and their breakfasts are stunning.

The camp site has a very strict no noise after 10pm policy. They enforce it and if you read TripAdvisor you'll see the complaints of the anti social people who have been asked to leave because they can't be quiet. We love it, no rowdy drunken teenagers keeping you up all night.

Do book early, they fill up fast. We booked our June break last May but maybe that was a bit much. Prices are really reasonable, especially compared to other sites in the same area of Norfolk. Outside of school holidays and bank holidays you're normally alright. We stay there all year round.
