Having looked at the Cali Dimensions in the online brochure

Height = 1990mm - Does that include Awning housing that sits higher than roof?

Width = 2297mm with wing mirrors in driving position - What is the width with Wing mirrors folded inwards & upwards?

The height does depend upon the wheels/ tyres combo, and lowered or not. Ours sits on 18” wheels, and the height to the highest bit of the awning is 1997mm. For access into car parks we use 2.1m as a limit, as the speed bumps, angle of the ground etc. can take the van higher than the stated height.

Have you got any idea how far the wing mirrors move in when they are switched to the folded position as I think im going to need every mm i can use to get through width of my garage door without having to change the door or cut into the wooden frame

Its about 10cm either side in width reduction when the mirrors are folded in.

I have a similar issue with my garage. I've just measured it. Placing a ruler against the door frame it sticks out 21cm with the mirror folded up. I have to fold them to get it in. I ask my wife to ensure I'm central. I haven't run her over yet. She has also made some nice ear warmers from some old leather to ensure there are no scrapes they are very useful.

Does not include Awning. With Awning it's 2010mm - 2015mm

Would you be able to measure the distance from the door frame the mirrors are when unfolded then I will know the reduction and therefore be able to take that figure off the overall width shown in the brochure - thanks

Just measured the mirrors extended. I make it 30cm out from the door maybe a couple of mil less. So approx 9cm less each side with the mirrors folded.
I spent ages measuring and re measuring my doors. I had to changed from wooden opening doors to a roller door but it was worth it.

Thats the Model, thank you but it only shows the wing mirrors in the normal operating mode, not retracted hence the request for any measurements from owners vans with wing mirrors folded

Both our Calis with awnings were under 2m once bedded in, our second was over 2m on delivery but soon dropped a bit.

The awning shouldn't make any difference to the overall height, the roof about halfway down the van is the highest point, it just looks like the awning is higher because the ends are away from the van.

Second this. Ours technically measures 2010mm, but never had an issue with a 2m barrier.

Thanks for all your helpful responses - I may just be able to squeeze it in with a pair of hand knitted protected ear muffs for the wing mirrors!, but also mindful to keep an eye out for quality Roller garage door installation!

6.1 Cali height, over 2m

I had to resort to a new garage door to enable the Cali to be kept inside. A sectional door, rather than a roller that wouldn't have retracted high enough.

The sectional door fitted inside/behind the brickwork, rather than in between, enabled them to remove the wooden door frame and open the aperture right up to the lintel, creating enough headroom.

And one more here. Never had any problem with parking garages that say the max hight is 2.0m.
Keep in mind they will always use a much lower max hight then the ceiling really is, because signs hang form teh ceiling and piping and what not. And they don't want to get sued by every other car owner using the garage.

I read somewhere guidance that suggested barriers should be 75mm higher than the warning sign limit.

The only time I think I would be concerned is if the garage is underground. The down ramp will reach a point when it levels out and as the chassis crosses the intersection it will effectively raise the vehicle and thereby reduce the clearance.

Agree with that. We recently had a few dodgy moments going into a 2m restricted underground car park in Barcelona. We fitted, but it was close!

Went into an underground car park in Reims years ago. The 'Out' ramp ceiling was covered in scrapes, so I exited back up the 'In' ramp with my wife walking in front of the van.
Never gone in an underground since.

I may be missing something but our mirrors come out again when the engine is started. Can't see how the van can be moved with the mirrors folded.
