I wonder if anyone has details of roof racks still available or can be modified to fit the exclusive like these:

Hi Matt,
I bought one of these, Sherpa combi translift, for my van to carry a Kayak.
But once I hung it loosely on the van, it looked very bulky. I think it was more suited to windsurfers and surfboards, as it stands a long way out from the roof. ( I sold it ).

I like the idea above, with the quick release j racks, very smart!

I now use a rack for storing your Kayak in the garage, but adapted to fit the side of the van.

Cheers for that chaps. Aye the quick release looks quite smart indeed. I like your fold away idea too. Great inspriration chaps. Much appreciated :thumb

Finally placed my order with Zoelzer. The following bits are on their way:

02122 California (roof)
02121-L California (left side)
02205 kayak hooks

I'm just waiting for the big bill when Norwegian Toll get their hands on it.

Let us know! I am wondering do they influence noise level on highway high speeds (we usually drive around 140 kmh)..

Haha lucky bugger. I'm lucky if I see any roads without an 80km limit in Norway! My UK AAB syncro couldnt even dream of those speeds! :)

German highways! ;) I did over 180kmh with my one.. it is AXG with longest transmission. But 140kmh is good compromise between speed and economy.

I am not sure who is more lucky here, i would prefer to have closer to fjords and not need to go so quick there.. ;)

Well the roof rack arrived and it's now fitted with the help of my able assistant. The two rear roof brackets needed a little alteration. Looks like they were bent too far the wrong way. Take a look and see what you think
