Hi all,

Apologies if this issue has already been answered, however I can't see this in other threads.

Whilst away at the weekend, I noticed that the fridge stopped working in my california ocean. When turning the fridge on via the control panel, the light will come on briefly and then flick off. (Pretty sure nothing actually happens with the fridge in this time) the time the light stays on varies and being on battery or hook up doesn't appear to make a difference. Also the level set doesn't seem to make a difference. I've checked the vw diagnostic menu and no errors are showing.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be or know of a specialist in the Kent area without a costly trip to a main dealer?

Thanks in advance.

What's the battery voltage at rest? Does the heater run? Try the 24hr hook up boost and try again. If your batts are 11.7v or less they are deemed to be flat. Also try with the engine running. Do you get the g symbol. Note that on the t6 the higher the number the colder the fridge which is opposite to what you might think. Maybe ambient temperature

UPDATE- I was kindly pointed in the right direction by a contact that the power connection under the right cupboard (accessed through the white circular cover) should be checked and cleaned. I did this and got it working again!

Hi, thanks for your message and I apologies I didn't reply, for some reason I'm not being notified of messages. Thanks again

Checking the electrical connections worked for me as well
Mine was brand new van - fridge stopped working after a month or so - when I took a look at the connection I could see it was loose - there is a locking mechanism on connector and it come loose (or was never properly fitted) but note the fridge indicator on the roof panel stayed on the whole time - so it didn't detect the fault.
When I switched off and on - no change in battery discharge and actually no sound
Now showing 4A and definite sound from fridge !!
