Hi ! Hoping someone can help me with my first post on here. We are heading abroad this summer for the first time in a camper for 20+ years. Back then we had a camping carnet but I am now reading about the camping key Europe. I'm not sure of the difference and which I need for travelling to France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Would appreciate any clarification! Thanks.

Basically it is an Identity Card which gives you 3rd party insurance whilst on site plus other discounts etc. If you are a Caravan Club member and use their Red Pennant Travel Insurance you get it included or you can buy it from the CC for £7.50. Otherwise you can buy it from http://www.campingkeyeurope.com/en
Avoids having to leave Passports in Reception, except in Italy apparently.

Welcome on your first post , in europe the ACSI card is well known and they got great sites ( at least some i have visited)

Every campsite we stopped at in Sardinia asked if we had an ACSI card. We used their app for campsites so might get the card for next year.
