I made the mistake today of heading to the Caravan and Motorhome Show at Westpoint Arena, just outside Exeter. Mercifully we’re only a quarter of an hour away so not too far to travel.
To summarise, it was awful - if you were thinking of going tomorrow, don’t bother - save your £7.50 a head and spend it in the Club Shop!
I was hoping that, along with the endless Big White Box vans, there would be some decent accessories. There were virtually none, and those that were there were flogging pretty low grade tat.
Bizarrely, there were two separate stalls trying to sell crystal bracelets, another selling beds (for home, not vans) and another bloke selling roof insulation (again for the house, not vans).
The interesting things there were seeing what California money bought you in BWB world (lots, but you’d never fit them down a Cornish lane), and that was about it.
Disappointed? Yes. I’m back off to peruse the Club Shop!
