Chamonix campsite?

Dear All. Does anyone have a campsite recommendation for Chamonix please to stay in GC600? I can see that Les deux glacier campsite was mentioned in 2017 but may be out of date(?) now. We are not going until summer. Thanks.

We stayed at Camping de la Mer de Glace. Nice site beside the glacial river and had everything we needed. Currently closed but probably open by next summer. I can't remember how much the pitch was but its wasn't expensive for Chamonix.

I stayed at camping de la mer de glacé in June 2019. Lovely site and location.

Just further to this, it looks like they don’t take reservations. Did you just turn up?

We stayed at camping Les Arolles last June. A fairly basic site but right on the edge of the town, took 5-10 minutes to be right into the town centre. It had electric hook up, showers were clean, & staff were fabulous, gorgeous views too. We'd definitely stay there again.

I booked in advance but whilst on the road trip so only a day or two before arriving.
