Chatsworth House at Christmas

We have just spent a very festive few days at Chatsworth CAMC site in order to visit the house and gardens for the festive event. What a great experience and Christmas show. Both the house and gardens couldn’t be more festive and full of Christmas spirit. We dined out on both nights, the Devonshire Arms on the first night and the Prince of Wales on the second. We would highly recommend both, great food and a great selection of beers. We enjoyed a great walk into Bakewell yesterday which blew away a few cobwebs. Great experience which we would highly recommend. We spotted a few Cali’s on the site which was great to see. Happy Christmas to all. Steve and Sue

That's a great part of the country. In Bakewell the day after Christmas, visiting friends. Now sure if we will make it this year, but marked for a visit next year. Thank you for the recommendation.

I think we were there at the same time, sans Cali. The Cavendish family have done a marvellous job of decking their halls with boughs of holly.
As always though, it’s their gardens that steal the show.
