EU Transport Attaché Mss Cantecleer yesterday red her ring of colleagues about the risks of testosterone levels raised by the presence of red cars in traffic, the physics phenomenon called Redshift and the Law of Chromatic Superiority (see Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Experiment; red light travels straight and so at higher speed)...
Another issue raised was the possible confusion with red private cars and emergency vehicles.
The bill they’re introducing today is to force EU car manufacturers to remove the RAL3001 color options for all their public cars. UK export could still be possible (seen the popularity here), under the condition of putting a vignette at the back of the car when entering the EU.
In the Zoom image with European Automobile Confederation Representative Eduard de Dène you can see the Brussels Daniel Vissers (EU Transport) presenting the proposed vignette to be stuck at the back of those red cars with the notion: « exempt by article •AFD.104 «
So, urgent time for the European fans to go fishing those remaining showroom cherries and for the Brits to order, now that cheap Red EU stock lines just simply perch into UK nets!

Meanwhile locals living near Ascot have objected to VW calling their flat grey "Ascot Grey". Apparently it is demeaning to the area, suggesting that locals are in some way boring or dull. One nearby resident, a Mrs E Windsor, has let it be known than a better name would be "Windsor White". This ties in nicely with the premium German heritage of many in the area.

Much consultation is expected. VW commented they were referring it to their Belgian paint consultant who has experience in this area.

Just got a clearer picture of the vignette:

AFD.2114.jpg ,

As usual, the EU Transport Commission got piles of criticism:
From scientists who point at the fact that it would not be the Redshift per sé but more the Doppler effect of it that would influence radar speed controls.
From Punks that don't get it why on earth they would call The Floyd being experimental.
From Activists who are raging at those calling Red superior.
From Political Observers who find that putting this important issue on an agenda on the 1st of April, the day of Christ's Last Supper, a serious political mistake
Seems the only mistake they made was putting the EU logo upfront; the classic red flag to the bullis ;-)
