Hello,

Anyone knows where is the cig lighter socket( above the dash board ) fuse location?

Also the fuse box under driver side (UK) next to the steering wheel does it has any leisure battery bus positive? Seems they are from the starter battery

Thanks,
Yuan

Thanks, because I want to run a dashboard cam that is also recording while vechicle is not started, so I have to use leisure battery to do it, do you know is there any easy way to get a leisure batt positive from dashboard area?

Otherwise have to get it from the passenger seat leisure batt but I have to hide the wire under the carpet don't know if it's easy

If you want power from Leisure circuit then front seat.
Front seat to door step then forward to foot well and up behind rubber of door seal to top then across A pillar trim then under edge of ceiling across top of windscreen.

In that case you’ll either have to remove seat base to get under the carpet or take wiring out of seat base rear and along the carpet edge to base of B pillar then forward under edge of step trim.
Maybe this will help.

Couple of challenges there. What you really need is an unswitched live. Plenty of those. Just use a multimeter on the fuses. Whether that is from the leisures or the starter, you will still need to ensure you have the battery cut off enabled on the cam to stop your batteries draining below 12V. You can get a few hours from your starter, 2-3 and you will get approx double that from a leisure, 4-6. You wont get the leisure’s effectively powering your cam for extended periods, unless on EHU.

I believe you can tap into a Perm live under the drivers foot well area.

I'll have. Search of previous posts and report back

Thanks, I have upgraded my cali with 628ah Lithium so pretty much I can run the cam active for 2 month. I can run fridge in level 4 for 1.5 month without starting the car or solar ;p

I actually can tell which tap is from starter which from leisure as my starter batt is agm 12v and leisure is Lithium 13V

Wasn't really my point, was just to explain you need to be aware that tapping into the leisure does not mean an excessively longer dashcam run.
