Cigarette lighter torch

[CALI FATE]

Hi - does anyone use one of these recharging torches. Seems like a great idea but the reviews are patchy. Would prefer to pay a bit more for better quality and longer life - maybe find a good one that fits the cali sockets and sell through the cali store ?

My van came with a magnetic one behind the drives seat, it is great, works as a low level light if you get up in the night, and I have an awkward gate post to drive through, so I sick it on the outside of the van to see I am not going to hit it

This is almost the same as I found in our Cali glove box when we collected it.
Ours is VW branded and recharges in the cigarette lighter socket. Someone said they were meant to be a standard extra on the California.

Mine came with a little cigarette lighter torch - fine for finding something on the floor in the dark, but not much else.
If you are looking for a decent rechargeable torch, check out the LED Lenser M7R. Expensive, but spectacular performance!

For a small light to use upstairs in our Beach we got an Ikea Jansjo LED USB light for a whole £2 and plugged it into a USB lighter adaptor....just checked they are on Amazon for a quid or so. Not quite the same but someone might like the tip. I take a regular C 123 cell LED flashlight for bright stuff, you can get rechargebles for that or keep a set of regular cells handy.
