Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of cleaning the canvas sides of the pop-up roof? I was thinking of maybe treating with a spray on fabric protector (to aid water repellency) but am a little concerned about staining... cant find anything in the owners manual about care of the canvas roof...
Any suggestions people :?:
Thanks!

Please don't spray any waterproofing stuff on the canvas. It doesn't need it and it's not recommended
The canvas will get give better waterproofing once it has been wet a few times

Thanks, I was maybe comparing it (slightly unfairly) to 1970 canvas tents that needed waterproofing every few years
Mine has never been wet but presume VW have already treated the fabric in some way to aid water repellency and make it more UV stable? No issues in putting the roof away when its wet then - provided the roof is opened to let it dry out at some stage?

That's it loads of people on here use them all year round without any problems. If it gets wet it probably is a good idea
To raise the roof to let it dry out as soon as you can.
