For information everyone if you are so unlucky to get diesel in your cold water tank.
Someone did it to my Cali T5 2013 in 2024 and I tried biomagic cleaner and other combinations to get rid of the diesel and it just didn't work despite several months of repeating the cleaning process. When you get diesel in the water tank I think some if it is there for life and I wanted peace of mind that the tank is all good.
Jerba Campervans in North Berwick are a VW Motorhome Qualified Converter and also offer full VW servicing and habitation checks. They are employee owned.
Its a big and expensive task replacing a water tank and piping/tap but they did a great job and I can highly recommend them. Their conversions are not bad too and from what I could see a lot easier to do various maintenance and repair/replace tasks. They also added some extra insulation around the kitchen area and fixed some loose trim.
Its hard finding a good VW garage willing to do work on a Cali so its great that Jerba have a servicing arm to their business as well as building their own.
