Afternoon All,

Anyone got any experience / pics of the Comfortz awning/camping room infill panels and how they have been attached to the van. Something we didn't buy when we bought the awning room, but considering getting them to close the end panel gaps, but don't want to damage the paintwork, so any feedback appreciated.

Many Thanks

We have them and use a row of small magnets to hold them in place. The one at the rear can also be ‘trapped’ in the tailgate for extra strength. If we’re using our Pucer windscreen cover the top of the one at the front can be attached with velcro (we’ve stuck some to the infill and to the drivers door screen cover).

No damage to our paintwork but maybe in very strong winds the infill material might abrade? We wouldn’t have our awning out in strong winds so not an issue.

Sorry no photos.

Note of caution - be careful the infills do not get trapped in the sliding door, especially if you have an electric door.

Hi @GrumpyGranddad

Many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback, and for the very helpful advice, particularly concerning the very clever use of velcro on the drivers door windscreen cover and the potential for trapping the panel in the sliding door.

Thanks again.

I had some left over draught excluder and used that with velcro onto the camping room velcro and bought a box of small magnets. As they are on the material and not straight onto the paintwork, no issue and no damage.

Recently bought two tarpaulins 1.5m x 2m = £5 and 3m x 3m = £7 and some ball bungees. Just for a wind break or keep the rain out. The one in the pic is the 1.5m x 2m.
