Just wondering, now they have been around for a little while, any experience or recommendations for composting toilets in your beloved Californias? Thinking it may be useful to be free of Elsa points?? IMG_0740.jpeg

Look for trobolo on this foum and start reading..
Using it for more than 2 years and very happy with it sitting under the sink (when not in use )

we have these; https://trobolo.com/nl/products/wandago
Advantages:
- it fits in the cupboard under the cutlery drawer.
- You can place it on a platform (the gray container) so that the height corresponds to a normal toilet.
- You can use the gray box for something else.
- Fits in the suitcase under the bed end.
- The toilet paper and bags are incorporated in a reservoir in the lid.
We take a supply of sawdust with us for this toilet (sold for rabbit hutches,..., is much cheaper than what Trobolo sells and I think it is the same).

Yes, search for Trobolo and you will see a few recommendations from me! Very happy with mine too. It’s a good solution for the California especially if travelling to places where there are no waste points.

We have a Trelino S, which we’re very happy with. But to be honest, the Trobolo looks better in almost every respect - and is cheaper too.

The only thing that’s better with the Trelino is the aesthetic. It looks like a storage box with a nice wooden lid. While the trobolo looks very much like a plastic toilet. So we’ll often have our Trelino out and use it as a stool or a step ladder.

But unless that really matters to you, the Trobolo is a better bet.

You can’t get a composting toilet for a small camper, due to size but I like many have a separating loo (Trobolo) and have found it perfect for the Cali.

Another vote for Trobolo. Easy to use and fits well in various locations. The ability to set the height at 405mm is a real boon. Just make sure it sits level!

Thanks everyone, had our first camp at the weekend and I hated using the chemical loo now! I have gone for the Trobolo Wandago - well excited, thanks again.
