Wanted Control unit

Hi All,

I have posted on a previous thread dedicated to this subject but no replies so thought i’d start a new thread here.

My control unit is faulty and an auto electric garage cannot repair it. I am therefore in need of a new one. I have been quoted £850 (fitted) by VW. Has anybody bought one from elsewhere which was cheaper? If so i’d appreciate some details.

If you have a problem that needs fixing then this may also be in the wrong place and instead posted in section "control panel issues".

Some folks have also sourced replacement units from Ebay I presume.

I have now ordered a new unit and it should be arriving in 1-2 days, and saved myself a few hundred quid in the process. This website/forum is amazing. It never fails to deliever due to the fantastic people who contribute to it.
