Corroded gas cooker knob

Hi
Anyone had this problem in their Cali?
One of the cooker knobs has corroded and won’t budge and I have tried WD40.
Any advice welcome!

Not heard of this one before but if it is seized I would be looking at a replacement rather than trying to shift it, given that it’s a gas tap. There’s a danger that you could end up with a leak. I doubt that it would be corrosion, more likely a mechanical fault.

Hi - thanks for that. Van now booked in with VW for knob replacement and gas safe check.
