cylinder head gasket

Does anyone else have the 174bhp T5? I had my cylinder head repaired under the recall when I first bought my van. However Ive just noticed sluff under the oil cap. So I am now thinking my cylinder head gasket has gone or the water pump seal.

Has anyone else suffered similar?

Or does anyone know what sort of cost it would be to replace the gasket?

And recommend a garage in the Plymouth area who can do the repairs well.

Could just be condensation if you don't use the van much or for only short journeys.
Is there any sign of water in the oil on the dipstick?
Are you losing coolant?
A pressure test should tell you if the gasket has gone

No idea on independents in the Plymouth area but I always recommend Carrs Exeter as they really know the California, might be worth a trip if you don't know a decent local garage.
Our California is a 174 but very low mileage so no issues yet
