My 27 year old daughter is back tomorrow for three days before shipping out to Seattle for a couple of years. She wants a day out in the Cali ! I've done West Wittering any ideas ?? I have BritStop so it could be a Pub Dinner + sleepover. Will bring ear plugs for the poor mite. :)

You could do worse than a visit to Batemans. It was the home of Rudyard Kipling and is now owned by the National Trust. It is a fabulous location near to the village of Burwash and is rich in history.
We have been there many times and had another great afternoon there recently.

In fact we had a very relaxed picnic in our Cali in their overflow carpark (field). The view from this location is of the stunning Sussex countryside. Marvelous.

Add Bodiam Castle to Batemans and make a day of it. Both National Trust.
Or if you're NT members and like gardens Wakehurst, Sheffield Park, Scotney Castle.
Or try Seaford head for a last iconic English view of the white cliffs, followed by Beachy Head then down into Eastbourne for fish and chips on the prom.
Or Ashdown forest to play Poohsticks off Poohsticks bridge.
Or Camber Sands and Rye.
Or Battle and Hastings
Or if you really must Brighton.......
