Thoughts on impact on residuals of Dec 2016 registration vs Jan 2017?

Our March 9 order is apparently finally in the UK. If delivery gets close to Xmas, may elect to pick up in January.
Having said that, we had our T5 for 12 years so may well not be a relevant question!

It will be a 66 plate whatever, so I don't think it will make any difference unless you sell it quite soon after. Enjoy your Christmas Cali :thumb

In theory no difference but if you wait until January you could resell as '66' 2017 reg. Can make a difference to prospective buyers. Also save a bit of VED. renewal 1st Jan instead of 1st Dec.

I keep asking myself why on earth one even thinks one reselling value when you order.
The same when chosing options , i read many comments like : it's a must have for resale ....?
I buy a car for myself not for the second owner.

Anyway , a younger car should bring more money in logic , so i would probally not collect my new car in the last part of the year but maybe you get a good discount if the dealer needs to have sales bookings this year?
