Hey folks. Does anything know if an adjustable vent is available for the T6.1?

Our dog lays on the floor and the heater is constantly blowing at him so an adjustable vent that allows the air to be pointed upwards would be ideal. I understand that something similar to the van heating vents isn’t possible as closing off the diesel heater vent completely would be a big no-no I’d imagine! Even if it wasn’t an adjustable vent but rather a fixed one that pointed the air upwards.

Surely in a world of 3D printing this would be possible? Not sure how easy it is to remove the existing vent to be fair. More investigating required.

There are hose systems designed to divert warm air into the pop top, I guess you could use just the hose but it would be a fairly ungainly (and expensive) solution. A 3D printed attachment would probably be the best solution.

@mark842 I have the exact same problem, please let us know here if you find a solution. I am not keen in getting the full caliheat kit which is very expensive and not really what I am looking for. Rather a detachable deflector which could route the blown air away from the dog-owned footwell

There are two vent ends that you can use.
One type is the adjustable butterfly vent, and the other vent with the veins pointing 45degs.
Both when sat in the housing can be twisted on the outside grip so the one i would go for is the fixed veins - and then twist the vent to have them pointing upwards. Can get them from many places - the two links to just show what different types. *thumbs up*

And this was on my T6 webasto diesel heater :)

I’m not sure how they will fit on the OEM Parking Heater outlet?

I (as have others) have crafted a solution to heat the upper bed when needed. See the image below. It would be easy to use a similair piece of piping to just aim the airflow up instead of down to your dogs. You'd only need the lower piece. Should be something you could realise in a few minutes if you buy the right piece of piping.

You can read on my website how I did it and what pieces I used.

Ah yes if the built in vents then no -
Ok , maybe a yes with a bit of cutting and duck tape :) wont look pretty. I joke.

Yes anything is possible with a 3D printer - taking the overall shape - placing a truma type vent hole in it. then it would do that.
