Drivers door hinge replacement

Hi, has anyone replaced the lower hinge on the drivers door. What started as a quick job has as usual run into problems. Loosened and removed all the nuts whilst door is supported but can’t seem to get the hinge off of the van. Do vw use an epoxy? And is there a lug holding the hinge as well as the bolt. Appreciate any advice

I did a lower hinge on a T5.1 a while back, to fit a packing plate, no resin or lug on the bit that connects to door, didn’t take off bit that connects to chassis.

BTW go steady, you don’t want to bend the door frame.
