As its down a dead end as such and the time of year you will be fine, lots of nice places near by and the pub sells nice beer.

I can also support what Billy whizz says.
The cafe in the car park does a lovely fish and chips and the pub is one of my favourites.
There is also a nice walk to the crown at Westleton - both are dog friendly
