Earth Shunt Problem

Hi.

I was wondering if someone could help me. I'm having a problem with my auxiliary heater and I suspect it may be the earth shunt problem. It's a 2007 van (recently purchased by me). The heater works on hook up but only runs for a few hours when not on hook up & then wont run at all.

I'm intending on taking it in to my VW dealer (Edinburgh) but was trying to access the technical document on the earth shunt problem on the "downloads" section so that I could show this to the garage. I can't seem to access this as all I get is a logon screen which I can't seem to get past. Could someone help me by either passing me the link to the document or with advice on how I can access documents on the "downloads" section of the site? Thanks

Hi Paul sorry to hear of your problem. To access the download section you need to be a VIP
Member see box on the right that will give you the ability to download from that section
It is well worth it it is a good detailed document on how to fix the problem.
