Electric window rant

Drivers door.

Open the window any amount and leave it.
Close window and it continues all the way down before coming back up.

I’ve tried re-leaning the limits without success.

No faults present in the diagnostics.

Passenger side works as you’d expect. Up when I say up, down when I say down.

Mine does this intermittently. Haven’t identified a trigger yet but will watch this thread.

Try spraying the glass glide grooves with some Silicon spray.

Worth trying this from one of my old posts - using bank cards as thickness gauge to work out the tight spot in the seal/channel the window is sensing.

Driver side window faulty - up down up down - huh??

Hey all. Since I had wind deflectors fitted the other day my window has a life of its own: I pull switch back and it goes up then down halfway, then this repeats until I do micro taps on the switch. My T5.1 transporter did this occasionally but it’s worse on my T6.1 Cali. Any ideas why and how...

lower and keep holding the switch for 5-10 seconds when it’s all the way down then do the same on the way up is supposed to reset the travel limits.

Never needed to do it in the van but have had to do similar on other cars.

I had this exact issue a couple of weeks ago. Tried various ways of clearing area, also removed wind deflector with no change. Sprayed some silicon around the window frame and worked, has been fine since.

As the rubber seals age, they dry out and harden and swell, spraying with a silicon oil spray is periodic maintenance that I do twice a year on all my vehicles, so far all the seals are still original and working,

My van has done that from new very annoying when it does
