We were scooting back up the M6 yesterday and the warning light came on. Probably should have stopped and called VW Assist but wanted to get home. Forgot about limp mode issues. Looking at the app later, it said DPF issue.
Anyway, called the dealer today, who suggested calling VW Assist as they were booked up until after Easter and not to drive the van. They came out promptly and ran diagnostics. First thing he said was the VW plug has been causing false alarms. Anyway, it turned out to be a problem with the AdBlue system, not the DPF and he fixed it. Very pleased.
He also said VW Assist can take the vehicle to be fixed, even if the dealer is saying they're booked up.
