Just as we were about to set off for Pembrokeshire in the pre half term week new travel restrictions came in, but luckily our bit of Leicestershire is still tier 1 so our visas were still valid!
And the day we left for home, Wales went into full lockdown. So we were really lucky to have had a week away in stunning countryside and could almost forget Covid for a few moments.
We did not camp in the cali but had a posh cottage (with hot tub) very near beaches on coast path. Bus drove beautifully (44mpg going down!!) which was nice after recent woes with clutch etc. And really came into its own as a day van for picnics, and just driving about a bit. First time grandchildren experienced eating in bus or playing up in the roof. Feel really lucky and also revitalised.
Have really appreciated the bus in these Covid times - even a simple day out in a NT deerpark or similar has become a valued treat.
