Hi
My Coast in due in June so I am starting to plan my first European trip. It will be 3 weeks in August, mainly in the Black forest and North East Switzerland, with over night stays to break up the route.
Is there a go to Website for campsite listings? I've tried Asci, but it doesn't seem to list much where I want to go. I don't need pools and clubs so am looking for smaller sites.
Last time did did this pre-internet in France I just bought a big green book, but cant remember what it was.

Any recommendations in the Black forest or North Switzerland (Looking at Lucerne and Schaffhausen, but open to suggestions)

Thanks

Gary

Thanks for the replies. They look like what I was looking for.

park4night app is free and very good. So is the searchforsites app but that’s not free unlike the web version of it.

I can recommend the camping app Archies (iPhone, Android and Windows). Covers almost all campsites in Europe, always up to date. 2,99 euro here:

That looks a really useful app, dank u wel!

I just bring up the area I want to stay in on Google Maps and then tap in "camping". You can tell within seconds from, pics reviews and website if anywhere is your sort of place. Specialist places are full of hideous great whites and caravans.

We often use the free offline road map/app OrganicMaps.
It’s opensource software and based on open street maps, which is maintained by volunteers.
Once a year I donate 10 euro to keep these beautiful projects alive.

Shows campings, shops, musea, toilets, etc. offline. Just download the maps of the region where you travel on your mobile phone or iPad.

The maps are really detailed, including contour lines.

Marc.
