Extra chopping board or cup holder ;)

That is very neat Pete, what wood did you use?

Alan

Bamboo indeed, chopping board from Ikea and a chippy mate with a router. A couple of quid for the board and a cold one for my mate :)

looks great , think I will take the saw to the one I rest on the top

Looks great. Any chance of a template?

Yeah got the template thing but how do I do it electronically?

You can either use a simple design tool (maybe something like this http://site.youidraw.com/drawing.html) or there are lots of free iPad tools. Otherwise take a photo (with some dimensions) and someone on here could draw it up

It's difficult to see but the underside is rebated to allow it to sit flush/flat on the sink unit. It may work without that and just sit on the radius edge of the sink unit.

I'm happy to pass on the template if you PM an address, chopping board chain mail anyone?

Quality job! :thumb
The less handy persons can also lay a classic cutting board right above the sink (just needs a straight cut to fit the shape in front ). The handle fits the tap, and the trapezium shape makes that flipped over it can also fit the left side of the kitchen (fire resistant HDF board makes that you can close the lid straight after cooking).
