Happy memories from the times we didn't have a car and therefore cycled these same roads as a part of our six weeks tour cycle trip in Scotland!

One of the things that really struck me was that the family had to catch three different trains, each pair travelling at different times, to return from Aberdeen to Newcastle as each train only has space for two bicycles. A cursory check reveals there are just three direct trains a day between Aberdeen and Newcastle - 09:52, 14:52 and 18:18.

What a faff!
