Finally modded the awful 2 seat Beach storage bench

It's only taken me 6 years of looking at and using the truly awful VW storage box in our Beach to finally get around to sorting it.

The rams that limited the range of the top opening lid went a couple of years back but finally we cut holes in the sides and added sliding doors. No more moving everything off the box to then rummage in the depths for what we need. Adding a divider between the new cupboard doors gives us two different places to put stuff.

Love the Beach but that storage box design always felt like a VW apprentices first project.

Thanks, good suggestion. That and filling/colouring the chips in the finish on VW's ply are next, followed by making a similar removable pod to sit on top to house a stove etc. I'll make it so it can be lifted outside to cook. A bit like @Borris purchase a couple of years back but on a budget.
