Finding a campsite

Just bought our 1st Cali. Pretty familiar with campsites in the South West but how do people find decent spots to stay around the UK? Is it worth joining one of the caravan clubs (which one)?? Got two kids and heading up to Bath-Bristol for a night in our daughters birthday end of half-term and places are looking pretty choka.

Campercontact and Park4night apps are good in general and easy to get to the campsite (or other) homepage or call directly or just push the Route button and it’ll start your phones gps app. I find it very handy to buy the paid versions for the former but there is a free trial if you’re just wanna try.

Or take google maps in a region and type: camping.

I find most sites using Google maps - find the area you want to go and search for campsites. There's usually a website and always reviews.
We're also CAMC members so use their sites often.
