Exceptional 4motion that allowed us to arrive in the resort under the snow. Despite a negative outside temperature, the night was good and warm. At the alarm clock it was magic !!!

Kudos - that looks like a lot of fun.

Brillaint. Agree, the Cali just makes the trip so much fun. Right now in Strasbourg and headed to Innsbruck. Hope to encounter some snow in the way (but not in a 4mo, so will need to be careful :) )

Where do you transport and store your skis? No roofbox?
hello, I'm carrying my skis in the calif. they are in a cover placed on my rear multiflex riser (picture 4). I slipped them under the calif for the night. But I am looking for a solution for an external transport... Something like this...238390F6-3A25-4433-92C4-BB3D62B2A2A9.png A4B54350-36D6-4195-8B5B-DB8B5BDF3722.jpeg E619D9EE-4E11-4CB3-9297-6F61E7211EBF.jpeg D9365BB7-C487-42D9-9918-E7C8F3C12D30.jpeg

Looks amazing, loving all that early snow!

Ok, does the beach come with a pole?

Yes

I'm guessing he use it to hang his clothing
Next time you are checking out out a Cali Beach or Coast , open the roof .....it's not by push-button but push-bar .
;)

Edit: here's how you can easy make a way to dry clothes in the roof of a SE/Ocean
Just a cord attached to the plastic hooks wil do.

There are mutiple other ways shown allready in other topics , some use poles (yes indeed! ) others bungeecords between de roof grab-handles in the front .

Hi Fred - do you have brackets holding the shelf above the multiflex - or is the top board sitting on the cases - i would like to do this - thanks

@BALLANGER Fred do you have any more info on the ski racks in pics 2 & 3?

Perhaps #2 is this?

hello, I wish to make an installation on the bike carrier, and yes it is about ski-carrier as you watch, fixed on the carrier bike. For hooks, it's a trick found on the internet, it's a DIY...

Personally, prefer my skis inside the van.
If you remove one of the under seat draws, skis will fit in easily. Two pairs per draw space

I go every winter for a lot of weeks to the snow, and last year i found this on the internet; MFT Backbox, perfect for the ski’s (max187cm) and other winterstuf.
You will find some information on the internet ;-)
Greetings!

We left Obertauern Austria today in our 2 wheel drive 2017 Beach. It has 4 new snow tyres and the road up and down was white full snow. I was going to add chains but it was so grippy that I did not bother. Not a a single slip and no TC light. Fabulous handling in a great car.

Are there camping locations in Austria or other Alp locations where you can power hook up in winter? We don't have aux heater so need electric to power plug in heater. Suggestions welcomed.

I love Obertauern.
Looks like they have had plenty of snow looking at the reports and pictures.
If a 2wd Beach can handle those conditions it can pretty much handle anything with snow tyres:thumb
