First trip!

We finally got to go on our first trip with our old-new Cali and, despite a middle of the night emergency roof lowering due to blustery conditions, everything was just as good as we had hoped. Diesel heater kept us toasty warm during the cold evenings/nights, toilet worked fine in the small amount of space left in front of the bed and my weight test of the gas canister proved accurate, as it was still happily boiling our kettle just before we left for home.

The Salisbury C&CC site was welcoming and beautifully kept, but alarmingly windy during the nights (see paragraph above). Must be the wonderful open views of Old Sarum and the surrounding countryside.

We're still figuring out what goes where and how best to arrange ourselves for evening relaxing. Bedding needs some minor adjustment, and I think a thermal liner for the roof bed is first on my next to buy list. But, all things considered, our new home away from home is the best thing we've ever purchased.
