Where are we all going once we can travel, stay and start to get any semblance of normality?

Apart from the local stuff as soon as we can, we’re off to Cornwall on the 12th. Hoping this place is as good as the photos suggest.

If you feel like a detour, I’m packing the Mobicool compressor to store all the booze.

Hope the van arrives by then as it’s held up in build at the moment

Weve got long weekend just outside new quay cornwall for 24th june, cant wait, would have stayed longer but nhs picky on holidays at the moment, cant think why

I had my first night out two weeks ago :)

Ok, parked up in the car park of a medical research facility .... not quite the same :D

I am booked to be in the Northampton and Cotswold areas from 14th April, and then 21st May start a 50 day trip across England and Wales, or just England if Wales is still closed!

We have Reedham ferries booked for first May bank holiday - but if no facilities we may have to reschedule it to after 17/5.

Have 8 trips booked between April and Oct. Cornwall through to Berwick on Tweed and Wales, up to 5 nights each. Can be self-sufficient if necessary, toilet and hot shower all ready to go. All bookings refundable if lockdown comes back.

Hopefully have the 680 by by then as off to the Scottish isles for 3 weeks.
I do hope we can travel in Scotland by then, we are returning to a revised Tier system after April so nothing is guaranteed at the moment.

I'll probably still be trying to suss out how it all works!
I have booked 2 campsites in Cornwall & Devon for the last week in June so hope to have it cracked by then!

Bookings carried over from last year starting in May, Keswick, The Gower, Lincolnshire, Mull, Ardnamurchan, trip to Turriff to stay with friends, some short trips to Wales & anything else we can fit in.

Have a week booked traveling up the Lincolnshire coast in mid May. Other than commuting and a couple of afternoons out locally we haven't used the Van yet and we haven't slept in it. At this point in time we are the very definition of "All the gear and no idea", I will try book a weekend locally in April to test everything out.

For me that’s the point. We all start somewhere. You go places, you learn and hopefully share that learning on forums like this. Part of the enjoyment for me is enjoying the journey. Every trip we find out something new, I see things now, travelling at 50 or 60 mph that I never would in a car at 70ish or a plane getting us from a to b.

Will probably be an overnighter at at Britstop. Maybe a farmshop alongside a canal or a favourite pub.

First festival booked is Beardy Folk festival on 17 June. Then (tickets carried over from last year) Timberfest in the national forest (2 July) . No dogs allowed so just me and vic van (hubby staying at home with dog). Then the next weekend it’s Elly folk festival.

Keep checking all the festival web sites to see who else is going to run. Have 2 booked for August and another 2 in September.

Probably won’t go on our usual long summer holiday so will be hopping from home to Festival to home as much as possible.

Just love festivals of all kinds.

Got our Main Holidays all booked up.

May Half Term : Dorset

August: 2 Weeks in the Yorkshire Dales

When we were looking, one site in Dorset told us prices *started* from £50 pn. Found a nice looking CAMC certified site for less than half that instead.

My best trip ever would be on my sister’s drive. That would mean the rest of the family could stay in the house. It would be so great to get together.
