First weekend in Blair the Beach Camper

We have been Beach owners for two weeks and had our first trip away at the weekend. We live in Southern Germany and the weather was amazing so it seemed like the perfect time for a trial.

We’re a family of three (7 year old child) and previously had a Pössl Campster. We swapped to the Beach, thinking that the three seat bench in the back and lack of full kitchen and cupboards would make for a more practical 2nd family car. We were right.

It was a great trip, it feels like there’s so much more space in the van and we mostly cook outdoors when camping now that our daughter is older but feel that the mini kitchen is great as a back up.

We kitted it out with a Dometic CFX3 28 fridge and a Bus-boxx mattress.

We’re heading to Italy and onto France to visit family at the end of May and now wondering if we can fit another cheeky wee trip before then.

I have also chosen the 3 seat Beach Camper.

Questionr regarding the CFX 28...is it big enough for a family of 3 ? Why not the CFX3 35 ?

We had a 13l (Indel TB13) in our old van and always found that to be ok, we managed food buying etc accordingly.

The CFX 28 is much bigger so definitely fine for us. I like to have the fridge inside the main body of the van with us because of the accessibility so it's important for us to keep it small.
