Hi,

Does anyone have a childrens car seat in the middle seat of the 3 seater beach? I've just bought a 2021 3 seater beach and realised it doesn't have isofix in the middle seat. We've got 3 kids under the age of 6, we need 3 childrens seats on the back bench.

We now need to find the safest belted childs seat that will fit in the middle.

The other option would be to buy a 6th individual seat. These have isofix points. Carrying another person may come in handy sometimes but it also limits what we can do inside the van.

Thanks

Personally, as a father of 3 kids also, I would suggest the 6th seat for pure safety. I've never been a huge fan of just the belted seats albeit I'm sure some will remind that it used to be lap belts if you were lucky back in the day and they survived!

I'm a big fan of Kiddy Guardianfix (or similar) Group 2/3 seats and ADAC gave them a solid score for non-ISOFIX (you can use them as both). My kids have loved them and always been comfortable, but they are quite bulky so I wonder if the middle seat might be compromised by the two outers.....

Good luck. The arrival of my third was the catalyst for changing vans :( I now have a pullman dinette in a motorhome since all other options didn't work for us for various reasons.

3 is the magic number I'm convinced, but it doesn't half come with a raft of compromises and additional expense! :sorry

Do a search on isofix retro fit, you should be able to fit an adapter to the middle seat of the bench

give the In Car Safety Centre a call - they have really good advice and know all about carseats. Seatbelts are rated up to a much higher weight than isofix - isofix is about convenience I believe not about safety?
