Flashing Glow Start & Engine Management Light

I know I've read that this issue has been covered before but as we was driving through France yesterday on our way to Italy the glow light came on & then the engine management light, van also went into limp mode. Now have a message come on saying that the 12v battery is almost empty, either start the engine or turn entrainment system off. We have taken the van to the local VW dealer and in his little English he has said that it could possibly be a turbo issue but cannot diagnose it until next week. Van is a T6 and has done 20,000 miles.
Has anyone had this issue before or have have any ideas what could be the problem.

No, but I would advise to buy a Carista unit which will should give you the issue.

Just used to diagnose an issue with my Tiguan which I fixed myself and was able to save a couple of hundred quid of dealer cost.
