I'm thinking about creating a couple of ply timber bases on a 2 x 4 frame and locking castors, finished nicely, and then fix the 2 spare VW chairs to them to use as reclining armchairs. I still need to be able to release the chairs easily for when they need to go in the van.
Anyone any creative ideas on how to fix the chairs to the base? A full floor rail set is very expensive. Any alternatives available?
This is a possibility, would just cover one side of each foot.
