It might be my phone , Android using Chrome, but as of this am annoying Google Ads are popping up on the top of the screen, not when you access the list of new threads but when you click on a thread and scroll. This is new to me and annoying as they cover the top menu bar.

Is it me or is it the Forum?

It hasn't happened to me yet. Using Android phone with Microsoft Edge browser. So it may be Chrome. I do get an annoying message asking if I want to switch to Chrome while on the forum, which I decline.

It’s not you and it’s most likely not the website owner.

At that point in the webpage, they is a JavaScript call to a different website that says “put some content here for me” the people that own that different website, probably an advertising company such as one-click or google get to choose what to put in its place.

The expectation is that they put in an ad banner at about 1024x76 pixels wide. But really try have a Carter Blanche to do a lot more.

That drop down sort have become more prevalent recently which is a shame as they are harder to ignore. Unsurprisingly!
