Fossil Hunting on the Jurassic Coast

Last weekend we stayed at the Wood Farm site at Charmouth, near Lyme Regis. It is a nice site, with good facilities including an indoor pool, games room and cafe.

I would question whether the number of loos are sufficient, as the nearest shower/toilet block was full at 8am in October, which doesn't bode well for the summer season. That aside, I would certainly recommend the site.

We had booked a fossil walk at Lyme Regis, and that was interesting and great fun. Our boys loved it, and we found loads of ammonites & belemnites. A great weekend away.

Sounds great nothing I like better than beachcombing looking for interesting things washed up :thumb
